Debbie Gee

I am of Ngāi Tahu/Ngāti Mamoe descent and was born and raised in Mangere, before making my home in Wellington. I began my working life as a reporter, followed by more than 30 years’ senior management experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic communications and marketing across central and local government.

I hold a MBA from Victoria University of Wellington and am a certified ProPath Project Expert and ProPath Agile Project Expert, with qualifications in project, programme and portfolio management, digital transformation, better business cases, change and risk management, stakeholder engagement and public consultation.

I am a member of the New Zealand Institute of Management and a director on a number of non-profit and community boards.

I love cooking, walking, reading and have a life-long interest in the visual arts, opera, music, theatre and dance.
