Niamh O'Donnell

I have been part of the team at Alpha Recruitment since April 2015, at this point I was not only new to Auckland but also to the world of recruitment. I feel that joining the Alpha team was a warm welcoming to New Zealand life. As my unusual name may indicate (pronounced Neeve by the way), I am originally from Ireland but set off travelling in 2013 to discover the world outside of my tiny little Island. I have quite a varied background initially beginning my career as a physiotherapist and pilates instructor. Although my direction has changed quite a lot, my main passion has always been working with people in a way that can be of true value to them and recruitment really helps me to fulfil this. For the past few years I have been working with the Commercial team in Auckland running a busy temp recruitment desk, however, since recently relocating to the beautiful South Island my role has now changed and I support the consultants by sourcing high quality candidates for their hard to fill roles. While working remotely can sometimes have its challenges I do really love that I get to spend all day with my gorgeous dog Reggie!!
