Do you aspire to become a Chartered Accountant and progress your accounting career to a senior level?  Our client is a high performing manufacturing company that prides themselves on the longevity of their greatest asset – their people.  An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and driven Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.  Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this position is responsible for a variety of functions including:

• Preparing draft monthly accounts
• Ensuring cashflow requirements are managed effectively
• Opening debtor accounts and reconciling payments
• Monitoring overdue accounts
• Processing and reconciling creditor invoices and statements
• Maintaining accurate fixed asset registers
• Preparing and submitting GST, FBT and PAYE payments
• Administering payroll for salaried and waged staff
• Ad hoc project work

We are seeking interest from tertiary qualified individuals who have attained CA membership or are working towards this status.  Ideally you will have 2-3 years accounts and accounting experience, and preferable well developed payroll skills.  Past experience within a commercial environment is required, and experience within the manufacturing industry is preferred.

You will impress with your financial and commercial savviness, and your ability to analyse and resolve financial and payroll issues.  Communicating at all levels in the business will be comfortable for you, as will working with fully integrated systems and processes.  If you consider yourself an ambitious and dedicated financial professional, we would like to hear from you now.
