We are recruiting for multiple social worker roles in Newtown! 

Are you a compassionate Social Worker looking to make a positive impact in a vibrant community. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our clients' team and help support the well-being of individuals and families in the community.

As a Social Worker with our client, you'll have the opportunity to: 

• Provide vital support and advocacy for individuals and families facing challenging circumstances
• Collaborate with local organizations and agencies to access resources and services for our clients
• Conduct assessments and develop personalized care plans to address the unique needs of each individual
• Offer counseling and guidance to promote mental health and emotional well-being

Your day may involve:

• Completing mental health and substance use screening assessments 
• Provide Courts with recommendations from screening assessments
• Work with the patient and their family/whanau to access services and treatment, to manage any risks, and achieve positive health outcomes

 

You will have:

• Bachelor's degree qualification (or equivalent) in Social Work OR a Diploma with experience in other areas such as Psychology or Community Support
• Social work or community-based experience in the health or social sectors
• Prior experience working with whānau with high-needs 
• Proven understanding of Social Work practices 
• You must be compassionate, and have the client and whanau's best interests at heart 
• Clean criminal record
• Must have Full NZ Driver’s Licence as you may need to do visit's in the work car
• Permanent NZ residency or citizenship
