We are looking for a contract Senior Policy Analyst to lead the development of high-quality advice for Ministers on complex policy issues in assigned areas. This may involve managing policy projects and oversight of associated staff, developing sound frameworks, leading policy development processes. As a leader within the policy community the Senior Policy Analyst will provide support and coaching to other staff.

Skills / experience required:

• Are comfortable leading pieces of policy work independently

• Have proven ability to collaborate with others to find solutions

• Are a critical thinker and can bring innovative approaches to complex policy issues

• Have sound approaches to developing evidence-based analysis and advice

• Have experience providing high quality advice to senior leadership teams and Ministers.

You must be based in Wellington and able to be in CBD offices for 2 days (or more) per week.
