Supporting inmates at a correctional facility based in Paremoremo, where you will be facilitating group sessions and individual sessions  You will need to be comfortable in a male dominated environment, supporting clients with personalised plans and helping them work towards their goals. There is potential for some 1:1 sessions and training of peer support staff in the team.  Our client is looking for a fully registered Social Worker with experience in Mental Health and Addictions.  You will need to have an optimistic outlook on life and the therapeutic support and rehabilitation you provide to the clients.

 

The Candidate:

• Must be entitled to work in New Zealand
• Have valid FULL registration to practise as a Social Worker or Counsellor in NZ
• High Level of verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain therapeutic relationships.
• Level 7 or higher in Mental Health, Psychology, Alcohol or Drug Studies.
