As a Service Manager in the Child and Youth Mental Health and Addictions Access and Choice services, you will provide clinical leadership and management to ensure optimal outcomes for rangatahi accessing our services. This role will involve team leadership, coaching, and supervision to enhance the quality and efficiency of service delivery. You will also develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in primary health care, education, and the community sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues and District Managers to plan and deliver services that meet the desired outcomes.
- Provide evidence-based clinical assessments and interventions for rangatahi.
- Integrate your clinical expertise with commitment to providing high-quality services to rangatahi and their whanau.
- Mentor, coach, and support Clinicians and Peer Support teams to ensure safe practice, addressing any competency gaps.
- Empower rangatahi to work toward their personal goals using professional skills and support from team members.
- Identify challenges and emerging themes in clinical practice within youth primary health services.
- Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders to facilitate the development of appropriate referral pathways.
- Continuously improve service delivery and outcomes for rangatahi.
We are looking for someone who:
- Must have a current full APC with DAPAANZ (preferred) registration, or registration with a professional body under the HPCA Act 2003 or the Social Worker Registration Act 2003.
- Is dedicated to developing, coaching, and supporting staff to ensure their ongoing professional growth.
- Understands the collaborative approach between clinical and peer support teams.
- Holds a full, clean driver’s license.
- Has experience in child and youth mental health and post-graduate training in relevant fields (e.g., mental health or AOD).
- Has at least 6 years of experience in a similar role within Mental Health and Addiction services.
- Has at least 1 year experience in a leadership role
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Has experience working with diverse cultures.
- Brings Human Resource experience.
- Demonstrates expertise in planning and delivering people-centered services.
