This is a 7 month fixed term role as an employee of Project Plus and you will be assigned to one of our key clients.  The role may be completed before this period in which case the Engineer will be given four weeks notice of completion and termination.  It is not expected that the role will go beyond this time unless there are unforeseen delays in the project.

Our client is SAFT, an international provider of high voltage battery systems, and they are installing and commissioning a new large-scale battery system for one of New Zealand's energy utilities companies. The assignment requires you to be responsible for the complete site management of the installation and commissioning of the battery system reporting to an offshore project manager, and is primarily located on site which is in Northland.

The assignment is for an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong project and site management skills who has:

• Clear understanding of high voltage networks including connection practices and safety
  protocols
• Extensive knowledge of large-scale battery features, technologies, and principles
• Familiarity with SAFT battery technology
• Strong project management skills.
• Good organization & communication/interpersonal skills
• Effective and demonstrated problem solving skills

It is also highly desirable that you have:

• Site management experience with a multidisciplinary site team
• A sustainability management mindset for normal site operation
• Previous experience with installation and commissioning of large scale SAFT battery systems

The role is anticipated to begin late November and run most if not all of the fixed term.
