Our client is a small commercial and property based law firm with a long-standing reputation in Waikato for providing quality, personalised legal services. We are recruiting an experienced Legal Secretary to join this friendly and supportive team.

The ideal candidate will have a positive and pro-active attitude, be highly organised  and adaptable with fantastic communication skills. You enjoy a fast paced environment where initiative and a “can do” attitude make you an integral part of the team. If you have ambition to further your legal career there is ample scope for career progression.

Your responsibilities will be varied and include:

  • Providing administrative support to the team
  • Drafting and proofreading letters, documents and settlement statements
  • Managing and organising files and records
  • Assisting with client communication and correspondence
  • A wide range of other administrative roles as needed

The successful applicant will have:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level of interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly skilled in MS Excel and legal software 
  • The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
