At a glittering event at the Cordis Hotel on the 14th of June, Alpha Recruitment was named as the Supreme Winner in the annual Newmarket Business Association awards.  

We have been privileged to be finalists or winners at a number of award ceremonies over the years but this is an amazing achievement and as the Managing Director of Alpha I was both surprised, and delighted, to accept the Supreme award on behalf of Alpha.  Earlier in the same evening we were also awarded "Best Employer" which is the second time that we have won this category.

Reflecting on this a week or so later I believe that the main reason we have won both awards in this year's NBA award round is that we are genuine people who show a level of care towards our people that is often missing in recruitment companies like ours. 

At this point in time over 700 people are working for Alpha or it's divisions on any given day.  We are a large employer and most of the people we employ are working on our client's sites.  This makes it hard, but not impossible, to look after them, and our internal staff do a really good job of showing that they do actually care about the people that are out working for us.

To say that I am proud of what we do is only part of my feelings at this point. I am proud, but also heart warmed by the way that our people go about their work.  I enjoy coming to work every day at Alpha, and I would like to hope that all the people working for us within Alpha, and for our clients, feel the same.  And that when they don't, they can come and have a moan....
