My Story - Brigita Krismayanti

1 November 2016 Posted in My Story

Brigita started with Alpha in 2014 and has been busy ever since working in a number of administrative roles for our clients.  We love it when our clients ask us "Can we have that temp back that we had last time, you know..."  Yes we do know, and Brigita has been one of those temps.  This is her story as told to Amy Farr.

1. Tell me a little about where you grew up and what it was like.

I grew up in Jakarta. It’s the capital city of Indonesia. Growing up in a big city like Jakarta wasn’t easy for me. Imagine living with 30 millions people cramped into one city. My friends and I used to compete against each other to be the best in the class. Competition was kinda like day to day life for us due to the sheer amount of people.

2. Why did you choose the career you have worked in?

I actually started working for ADHB because I joined Alpha back in 2014, after I graduated from my interior design and decoration course, and have been with ADHB since then.

3. What was it about NZ that attracted you?

I love New Zealand. It’s quiet  (Compared to Indonesia)… it’s stunning, and I like the cold weather (Odd enough I like cold weather better than hot) and it’s easy to get to anywhere. People here are friendly :-)

4. How have you found living and working in NZ?

Hard and easy. It's quite hard because everything is so expensive here, mortgage, groceries and transport cost are pretty high in Auckland. But it's pretty easy to get to anywhere.

5. Can you tell me a little about your experience with Alpha, and how we have been involved in your journey?

I'm pretty fortunate to be part of Alpha temps. I found that Alpha always look after their temps. I always have a good assignment and always enjoy where ever they want me to be. Never been out of an assignment! Once one assignment is complete and its time to move on, Amy or Natasha always get a new assignment ready for me. How fantastic is that?!?!
