About the role

Lead technical honey innovation and excellence in this newly created role of Technical Manager, at the Te Aroha site. As the technical lead, you'll oversee every aspect of honey production through an expert lens - from optimising production processes to pioneering new product development. You'll design and execute pilot trials, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain an unwavering focus on honey's complex sensory qualities. As a vital part of the operations team, you'll champion product excellence by discovering, developing, and implementing breakthrough innovations. Your keen eye for process optimisation and emerging technologies will help consistently craft products of unmatched quality, setting new industry standards. You will be a technical champion with a strong background in food technology and proven exposure to innovation and NPD. Rather than specific honey experience, we're seeking a technical expert who brings curiosity, passion, and an eagerness to become immersed in the fascinating world of premium honey production. Carrying a growth mindset, you will be an engaging leader who has an eye for continuous improvement across systems, software and processes.
