Our client based in sunny Nelson is a respected provider of Residential Aged Care Facilities across New Zealand, committed to enriching lives and enhancing the experience of every person who enters our homes and they are looking for an exceptional Administrator who shares their values and can bring warmth, efficiency, and reliability to the role.
This is a full time permanent position based in Bishopdale, Nelson.
As the first point of contact in the facility, you’ll be a key part of creating a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for residents, their whānau, and our team. You'll keep things running smoothly with your expert administrative support, strong organisational skills, and calm, can-do attitude.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing exceptional reception and administrative support in line with policies and procedures
- Coordinating mail, invoices, payroll, and weekly reports
- Maintaining accurate documentation, including for discharged or deceased residents
- Managing Petty Cash and Residents Fund systems with precision
- Ensuring supplies and office equipment are well maintained and fit for purpose
- Offering friendly, helpful service to all residents, families/whānau, and visitors
- Collaborating with team members to support the smooth daily running of the facility
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Strong communication skills and a welcoming presence
- Proven admin experience with excellent time management
- Confidence using office systems and tools
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- High personal standards, accountability, and professionalism
